That's strange...have you tried the updated version? josephesapa1.deviantart.com/ar… Maybe that'll work
Also, what lights are there in your scene?

Ah ok, I think it might be the intensity

Because in Cycles, the lights behave a bit differently - they're a lot weaker-  so you just need to turn up the intensity to around 500 or so and then go from there

the image node that attaches to the glossy node, what is it of is is the original image texture copied or something?

It could be if you prefer, but it's usually the original image texture converted to a specular map using a program like CrazyBump :D
